How's married life?
Married life is great. It's fine, it hasn't changed us at all really. Not when you've been with someone for ten years.
Did you get any nice presents?
Some people have bought some stuff, but it was pretty low key.
The outfits were gorgeous!
Aren't they great? A friend of mine texted me and said I didn't realise it was fancy dress. It was spontaneous.
Do you see yourself as a romantic person? Because everyone thought it was very romantic.
Yeah I did think about it. It's a funny thing, but I'm not gonna go into details! It is a funny dynamic. It does change things a little bit, and there is that thing where you are now with that person and that's it.
Why did you decide to do the gig tonight (in Wimbledon)?
I'm sure it'll be a fun gig. I love gigging, other than the fact it's in the middle of nowhere, which is a little odd. Why did I do it tonight? Well because one still has to get out there and do stuff. Also it's not a bad one to sort of prelude the next tour. There's a few songs in there that you haven't heard for a while and a few songs that are off this new record. But it sort of puts the hat on of thinking about the tour.
Are you enjoying being a DJ?
I like that actually, I have to say. I could do more of that, definitely.
So are you waiting for Radio 2 to call?
Well it's not been talked about, but it's definitely something that could be thought about.
What can you tell us about the new album?
Well I've finished the vocals and it sounds pretty good. But I haven't finished the whole production side of it. I think you'll like it. There's a good selection of songs on there. It's sort of difficult doing a cover based album, but there's three new songs on there.
Are those brand new songs as opposed to the new stuff we know from last year?
Yeah very different to that. They're a bit more in the style of the 50s and 60s.
What can we expect from the tour?
Lots of naked bodies on stage.
Are we going to get another live DVD?
I don't know with this one, but there's a couple of really interesting things going on, particularly next year in the theatre world. But that's not confirmed.
Are you planning to take the tour to Ireland or anywhere else this time?
No
Is there anyone you'd like to have as a special guest on stage, following on from Chesney last time?
I need to think about that.
How about Rick Astley? You could do Nothing Can Divide Us with him!
That's quite a good idea!
Thank you Jason!
